Caledonia Water (CWA) is a joint venture alliance between Aecom and Morrison Water Services (MWS), supporting the delivery of Scottish water's SR21 Capital Investment Programme.

We are responsible for the delivery of a pan Scotland £700M water and wastewater infrastructure programme over a 6-year alliance framework.

As aSite Survey Manager you will be part of our Operations Team who are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our water infrastructure and civil engineering projects

As the Site Survey Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Proactive member of the early Plan phase team on a large value or portfolio of projects, reporting directly to the
  • Managing contractors in all aspects of obtaining survey information on; existing Scottish Water assets, other utilities companies apparatus and any other structures, both below and above ground. This will entail working with PM's and the commercial team to set up the sub-contracts.
  • Other duties will involve liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure permissions are in place to allow the survey works to progress.
  • Report to the Project Managers
  • Ensure all sites are compliant with company SHEQ policy and procedure and drive a strong Health & Safety and quality focus culture
  • Engage with the contractors on a regular basis to and report progress against the programme
  • Ensure SHEQ documentation is produced timeously, maintained, and briefed to the workforce
  • Control of QA documentation
  • Control of permits
  • Ensure Site Inductions are conducted
  • Any necessary SHEQ and Temporary Works inspections
  • Input to short term programmes
  • Maintain site statistics
  • Coordination of procurement with supply chain
  • Manage work fronts in local communities and ensure a positive approach to dealing with members of the public

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Experience in managing sub-contractors in accordance with relevant contract T&C's.
  • Knowledge of relevant H&S Legislation
  • Knowledge of construction standards and specifications
  • Knowledge of NRSWA (training may be provided)
  • CSCS Supervisory Card
  • SMSTS (training may be provided)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene & SW DOMS (training may be provided)
  • First Aid at Work (training may be provided)
  • Other specific training to comply with CWA skills matrix

Do you hold a current driving licence? You will need to hold one to be considered for this role.
