About the role:
A new opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced Site Services Manager for our 1,000,000 square foot automated site that we operate for Screwfix in Trentham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the building and all related plant and equipment. Reporting into the Engineering and Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will provide expertise in all aspects of the site's physical infrastructure.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
How will you contribute?
• Enthusiastically manage a team to ensure all facilities, utilities and building-related tasks on site are completed and the site is maintained to the highest of standards (PPMs and remedials)
• Oversee competence requirements and the training needs of your team
• Coordinate and manage all external contractors (including KPIs and SLAs)
• Adhere to all statutory requirements ensuring legal compliance (including fire detection, fire suppression, emergency lighting, legionella, racking, work equipment etc)
• Budget management
• Support the warehouse team with the management of MHE
• Coordinate departmental management of audits (internal and external).
• Review/ develop facilities strategy to support with the site Business Continuity Plan
• To champion waste management and the site's sustainability plan
What will you bring?
• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation
• An effective communicator and able to develop good working relationships with all levels of colleagues across the multiple functions on site
• Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication
• Fully flexible approach to work and able to adapt self to meet the needs of the business (occasional weekends and on-call rota required)
• Proactive professional who thrives working autonomously
• Proven ability to maintain the tenacity of self and team
• Responds well to challenge; prioritises business demands
• Customer driven, collaborative and hands-on approach able to identify pragmatic, business focused solutions to areas of non-compliance.
• IT literacy - Microsoft Office applications
Desirable qualifications:
• Engineering - Ordinary National Certificate (ONC)/ Higher National Certificate (HNC)
• Facilities Level 5 from the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM)
• Health and Safety - IOSH/ NEBOSH Managing Safely
