About the Role:

  1. Develop the Site Strategy Quality and Food Safety
  2. Lead the site quality team in the provision of quality and technical support to the Manufacturing Teams.
  3. Ensure all site quality and food safety objectives are met and in line with legislative, regulatory, and quality standards requirements.
  4. Be a champion for quality culture and continuous improvement within the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Champion quality standards and legal compliance within the operations teams.
  2. Champion Food Safety for the Manufacturing Teams on site as Food Safety Team leader
  3. Work in conjunction with the Operations Development function.
  4. Coordinate coaching, training and information to enable the site teams to deliver their quality and food safety role requirements to a competent level.
  5. Lead, support and coach quality incident investigations to establish root cause and corrective and preventive actions, be a champion for preventive action for incidents but also driving continuous improvement based on site trends
  6. Lead, support and coach site activities to prevent and control all non-conformances, internal or external through quality processes.
  7. Ensure Quality systems are embedded and maintained.
  8. Proactively identify, review and take ownership for improvement through zero loss.
  9. Oversee the verification and maintenance of process and quality control equipment.
  10. Lead 3rd party accreditation standards for all external and internal audits for the Site.
  11. Maintain good relations and contact any regulatory bodies associated with the quality function.
  12. Support the GB&I Operations Development team with the implementation of change projects
  13. Embed Company Purpose, Vision, Values and Behaviours within the site aligned to driving a 'one Britvic' way of operating where all employees play in position but understand the total goal of the organisation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. In-depth knowledge and experience in quality, food safety, and microbiology, in an FMCG environment
  2. Strong people leadership skills and the ability to integrate differing functional demands is essential
  3. Skilled in coaching and influencing others
  4. Proven people management skills with the ability to flex styles to differing individual needs is essential
  5. Sound knowledge of food production processes and legislation is desirable
  6. Computer skills required SAP an advantage.
  7. Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organisation
  8. Proven experience in people development and performance management
  9. Some Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  10. Working knowledge of employment legislation and procedures.
  11. Specific product, ingredient and packaging knowledge in the soft drinks industry is desirable
  12. Implementation of Quality processes and adherence to the standards

Qualifications:

  1. Appropriate qualification for the role.
  2. Intermediate HACCP
  3. Intermediate Food Hygiene
  4. ISO Lead Auditor is desirable
