Monday - Friday 7.00am - 7.00pm working alternate Saturdays with a day off in the week.

4 month contract position

Dedicated engineering services for the food and beverage, automotive and aerospace industries, the company has tailored specialist engineering solutions to many of the world's largest manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join the Projects Team supporting a pipework an equipment installation project in Bedford.

Duties

As a suitably experienced site manager ideally with food industry experience, you will be working at a food production site in Bedford on a project to extend the manufacturing facility. With responsibility to manage the day to day site activities from site set up to hand over of a process pipework and plant installation project valued at approximately £5m. Specific duties will include working alongside the project manage to manage in house and subcontract resources allocated to the project, compiling risk assessments and method statements for site installations, carrying out site inductions, managing and issuing work permits, completing daily reports and ensuring all works are completed in line with the companies Health and Safety procedures. Other duties will include dealing with contractor queries and H&S aspects along with co-ordinating the CDM scope of works.

About You

Based ideally in Bedfordshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of MK40 4LU.

Demonstrable experience as a site manager preferably within the food industry with particular knowledge of food safe standards, health and safety standards and construction design and management.

Qualifications: 1st Aid, SMSTS or SSSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH
