Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Ryecroft School, Walsall, West Midlands
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Must be UK based.
As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a School Site Manager to join our close-knit team at Ryecroft School, part of Options Autism.
Purpose of Role
The role of Site manager will provide line management to the schools domestic/cleaning team , The maintenance team and School administrator, ensuring the quality assurance of these departments within the school. As Ryecroft School expands this role is crucial to the schools development and maintenance in terms of health and safety, school maintenance and the operations of the domestic and catering team. This role will support the compliance linked to the independent school standards in particular standard 3 (Health welfare and safety) and part 5 (Premises checks)
You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every pupil can thrive.
Essential
- Experience of leading and managing maintenance projects
- Experience of costing work, purchasing and working within budgets
- Relevant experience of managing a multi-functional team (highly desirable)
- Experience at management level in an education setting (highly desirable)
- Experience of supervising and appraising staff (highly desirable)
- Good knowledge of maintenance, catering and domestic practices including the use and storage of relevant products
- Good knowledge of devising and implementing effective systems of working
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to motivate a team and individuals
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Good IT skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to the values of the Organisation
- Driving licence and access to a car

Our New Options School - Ryecroft School has capacity for 60 pupils, opened in September 2024 and caters for pupils with Autism and complex needs.
The school is located in Walsall. Walsall is a market town in the West Midlands County. It is located 9 miles north-west of Birmingham, 7 miles east of Wolverhampton and 9 miles from Lichfield.
