About The Role

SITE MANAGER

Due to the promotion of our Site Manager, we are looking to recruit a new colleague to our team. We are vibrant all-age special school for children aged 2-19 who have CLDD (Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities). This key role will be responsible for the general maintenance and security of the school and swimming pool to ensure that it is safe and fit for purpose at all times in accordance with health and safety requirements.

We are looking for a professional individual who;

• Has a keen eye for detail and ideally has experience of a school environment within site management and experience of premises security

• Strong organisational skills

• Knowledge of health & safety with NEBOSH or IOSH qualification or willingness to train

• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills

• Good IT skills (Microsoft word, excel, email)

• Experience of Pool Plant management ideally with a current qualification or willingness to train

• Imagination and creativity to help us to continue to improve our site and the young people's experiences in and around the school

Salary: In accordance with APT&C scales, point 8 - £24,702, point 17- £28,770 gross per annum, the appointed point will be dependent on experience

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Montacute S chool will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
