Berkshire Talent Partnership is seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all civil construction activities on a major energy infrastructure project in South Manchester.
This role is ideal for a hands-on manager with strong technical knowledge, excellent site leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex civil works safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all on-site civil construction activities, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for civil subcontractors, managing interfaces and resolving site issues efficiently.
  • Drive and enforce Health, Safety & Environmental compliance, conducting inspections and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Oversee quality assurance and inspection processes in line with the ITP, ensuring adherence to design and specification.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and reports in accordance with project procedures.
  • Support project leadership with temporary works, lifting plans, and short-term lookahead schedules.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping, site organisation, and compliance with CDM regulations.

About You

  • Strong track record managing civil works on large-scale energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Sound understanding of site safety management, temporary works, and quality assurance.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead teams and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to construction management.
