Position: Site Manager - Fit-Out Contractor (SME)

Location: London

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Package

My client is a specialist SME contractor delivering high-quality traditional fit-out projects across Central London. Their work spans commercial, hospitality, and retail sectors, with project values typically ranging from £1m to £5m. Known for their craftsmanship and collaborative approach, they're expanding and looking for a hands-on Site Manager to join their growing team.

About The Role

My client seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of fit-out projects on site. You'll be responsible for managing trades, maintaining programme, ensuring quality, and driving health & safety compliance - all while representing the company professionally to clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to spec.

• Manage site programmes, coordinate subcontractors, and monitor progress against milestones.

• Ensure high standards of workmanship and finish across all trades.

• Enforce health & safety procedures and maintain site documentation.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain communication.

• Assist with procurement, deliveries, and site logistics.

• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager in fit-out or refurbishment.

• Proven track record managing projects between £1m-£5m.

• Trade background or construction management qualification.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and JCT contracts.

• Proficient in MS Project and site reporting tools.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• London-based or willing to commute daily to Central London sites.
