Homebased with access to office bases across the UK & Ireland

Are you ready to drive growth and make a significant impact in the food and snacking industry? Zertus UK & Ireland is seeking a dynamic National Account Manager to join our team! This role is pivotal in expanding our brand presence and achieving sales targets while fostering robust relationships with our retail partners.

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Negotiation: Achieve sales targets within allocated budgets, negotiating terms within specified parameters.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong internal and external communication channels to develop retailer and partner relationships.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop account plans in collaboration with marketing and NPD teams, focusing on innovative, profitable solutions.
  • Proactive NPD Collaboration: Partner with category and NPD teams to enhance Zertus UK market share and profitability.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify and execute new growth initiatives.
  • Customer Champion: Advocate for customer needs within Zertus, ensuring top-notch service at all times.
  • Demand Planning & Supply Chain Management: Work closely with demand planning and supply chain teams to achieve a 98.5% Customer Service Level (CSL), managing forecasts, stock, and demand effectively.
  • Waste Reduction: Proactively eliminate and reduce obsolescence.

Qualifications

  • FMCG Experience: Strong background in fast-moving consumer goods, with experience across private label and branded product sales.
  • Sales & Margin Growth: Proven ability to drive sales and margin growth, paired with strong negotiation skills.
  • P&L Expertise: Skilled in P&L management, with a track record of meeting delivery targets.
  • Project Management: Highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Dynamic & Tenacious: Energetic and outgoing, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Relationship Building: Strong relationship development skills, with a record of fostering strategic partnerships.
  • Skilled in CPI Negotiation: Successfully managed CPI negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • JBP Management: Experienced in the successful management and implementation of Joint Business Plans.
  • NPD Collaboration: Proactively contributes to the new product development process, from ideation to delivery.
  • Numerically Savvy & Commercially Astute: Highly numerate with a sharp commercial mindset.
  • Category Expertise: Previous experience in the confectionery or snacking category is highly desirable.

Our manufacturing Locations: Heckington, Sherburn-in-Elmet, Fakenham, Bromborough, Navan (Ireland). We have a hot-desking office space in Hull (East Yorkshire) and also in Camden, London.
