DWF is seeking an accomplished Real Estate Litigation Senior Solicitor / Senior Associate to join its expanding Real Estate Litigation team.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is a positive and supportive influence on our people and our culture who can advise, guide and work directly with our key blue-chip clients on all types of commercial property dispute in a variety of sectors.
If successful, you could be linked to any UK location in which the Real Estate Litigation team has a presence and would be able to work flexibility and on a hybrid basis between office and home where you would be joining a vibrant, friendly and supportive team dedicated to excellent client service and proper supervision.
The Real Estate Litigation team at DWF is a large team of around 25 lawyers and we operate nationally. This means that everyone can get involved in work for all clients. We're a close, friendly, collaborative team and we have a focus on sharing knowledge, good lines of communication and proper supervision structures.

Responsibilities
- To advise on the legal and commercial implications of all types of commercial property dispute (e.g. opposed and unopposed lease renewals, restrictive covenants, break options, dilapidations, rights of way, boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance, telecoms, possession and insolvency-related issues).
- To work with DWF's Legal Operations and Business Services divisions who are able to give clients a fully integrated service at less cost.
- To take support from DWF's Reflex division of real estate paralegals, to which all fee earners in the team have access to help deliver profitability.
- To use your existing (or to learn new) telecoms expertise to support our renowned telecoms practice in which we act for big UK-wide electronic communications operators.
- To develop and grow your own relationships with existing and new clients, and with internal clients such as transactional Real Estate with whom we work and support very closely.
- To demonstrate and live our firm and team values and to be open to innovation opportunities.
- If you are applying as a more senior applicant, to show effective management, leadership and supervision capabilities and to deliver growth and sales effectiveness for our team and wider.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Previous experience and technical knowledge in commercial real estate litigation, including 1954 Act lease renewals (opposed and unopposed), serving notices (contractual and statutory notices), dilapidations disputes and settlements, boundary and right of way issues, rent arrears and landlord remedies including forfeiture, court proceedings, CRAR etc.
- The willingness to take ownership of your work and a desire to deliver a top client service across a range of sectors.
- Taking a positive, friendly, supportive and collegiate approach to working with others, and, if you are a more senior applicant, developing a supervisory and management-focussed role to help to support others and maintain high standards of quality and service.
Desirable
- Some experience of telecoms law and the new Electronic Communications Code, or an interest and willingness to get involved.
