About the Role
As part of our 2025 vision to be 'the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow', we are seeking a Shopper Strategy & Insights Manager to lead the creation and deployment of our Shopper Insights Strategy for Britvic GB. This role will be responsible for delivering valuable shopper insights and recommendations designed to change shopper behavior, as well as leading cross-functional teams on transformational shopper initiatives that unlock Britvic brand growth.
In this role you may enjoy more autonomy, and better work-life balance due to our hybrid working arrangements. (You will be expected to spend around two days in the office every week, however, there will be some flexibility. Depending on meeting schedules, some weeks may require more than two office days). Our office is located in Brakespear Park, Breakspear Way, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP2 4TZ.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Build Britvic's Shopper Insights Capability by being the shopper expert, understanding general shopping behavior and soft drinks shopping behavior across various segments, store clusters, and customer types.
- Identify key shopper knowledge gaps and plan the annual shopper research plan and budget to fill those gaps.
- Lead the development of valuable shopper tools and frameworks to ensure Britvic has a competitive advantage at the point of purchase.
- Own research projects from objective to delivery, ensuring insights translate into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Lead real-life test and learns to understand the impact of proposed changes to the outlet environment or online experience.
- Ensure all insights are easily accessible through a centralized repository.
- Embed shopper insights with cross-functional teams to incorporate into their strategies and ensure a shopper-focused mindset throughout Britvic.
- Create, support, and deliver inspiring presentations with key customers to unlock Britvic opportunities by being shopper-centric.
- Help deliver organizational 'Shopper Insight Capability' through training interventions and coaching.
About You
- Extensive FMCG/Agency background, ideally with experience across multiple trade channels.
- Demonstrable Shopper Research and Insight experience with a track record of creating insight-led recommendations that drove business performance.
- Expertise in identifying research needs and briefing & managing ad-hoc research studies across different shopper research methodologies.
- Ability to combine multiple data sources into clear strategic insights and translate them into actionable business outcomes.
- Strong project management skills, able to plan and deliver projects to deadlines.
- Understanding of current shopping behaviour and a curiosity to develop this understanding.
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Expert-level competency in relevant continuous or syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, CGA, MCA, HIM).
