What you'll be doing;

• Lead the team to deliver a smooth and safe shift on the ERF. To organise resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to best effect prioritising the wellbeing of our people and efficiency of the plant.
• Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of a modern Energy Recovery Facility, maximising performance whilst maintaining all environmental standards.
• Acting as the "Senior Authorised Person" on shift and managing the activities of the operational shift and energy recovery facility operatives.
• Managing the activities of the plant and operatives when in the position of Day Shift Team Leader and when on shift outside normal working hours.
• Assist with VMR auditing, reporting and training
• Outage Preparation
• Liaising with a number of external contractors and acting as the 'face' of Veolia.

What we're looking for;

Essential

• Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (relevant to the waste industry or power industry) or equivalent experience
• Boiler operation and maintenance with burner combustions experience

Desirable

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent is desirable
• NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely
