Overview

We are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team in Hams Hall. The Shift Manager is accountable for Warehouse operations on a shift-by-shift basis - Including Inbound, Outbound, Returns, D2C and Inventory Operations. Reporting in to the Operations Manager and working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Shifts are predominately days and Monday to Friday, but must be flexible.

Salary - £39,343.

How will you contribute?

  • Manage warehouse operations on a shift-by-shift basis - Including Inbound, Outbound, Returns, D2C and Inventory Operations.
  • Accountable for effective management and deployment of resources to achieve operational KPI's (cost, quality, and service), providing clear directions and expectations to team members regarding their roles and responsibilities.
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated.
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to risk management and adherence to site H&S regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the customer, ensuring effective information flow and resolution of problems.
  • Support the training team to ensure all team members are trained, records are maintained and the operation has sufficient skills and resources.
  • Actively collaborate with support functions (i.e. Stocks) in achieving Warehouse targets and goals
  • Manage all personnel processes for your teams, including absence and attendance, behavioural, training, performance and cultural - in collaboration with the People Team.
  • Full site accountability in the absence of any senior management team (i.e. Distribution Centre Manager or Ops Manager), ensuring relevant escalations where appropriate.

  • Possess good analytical skills to identify optimum solutions to meet the operations' financial targets.
  • Be able to provide commitment to delivering consistent quality & service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate with & influence individuals at all levels within the business in an open & honest manner, including the customer.
  • Able to work well under pressure & will demonstrate the commitment, enthusiasm & flexibility expected within this role.
  • The successful candidate must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with previous experience of in-house warehouse management systems
