An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PM Shift Manager for a contract based out of Hemel Hempstead. This team is part of our Home Delivery Network, we store and deliver carpets on behalf of some well-known brands. Shift Pattern is Sunday to Thursday, 14:00-22:00

The Role

• Reporting to the Operations Manger, you will have responsibility of supervising small team with Team Leader reporting to you
• Giving direction and monitoring performance that ensures the department runs efficiently and effectively within pre-set budget information.
• Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance, encouragement through engaging colleagues and developing their skills
• To ensure the operation achieves daily and weekly KPI targets
• Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety
• Being responsible for H&S on site. Reporting, investigating and actioning safety concerns and accidents/incidents to drive safety culture on site
• Ensure any disciplinary action is carried out following company procedure and aim to resolve grievances on a day-to-day basis by leading by example
• Ensure the operation operates all such systems to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company. Raise and escalate issues where necessary
• Ensure effective communication throughout the operation communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures
• Working close with Transport and Stock department to maintain OTD
• Participate in sites social life and drive CI culture

The Person

• In depth experience in warehouse planning & management.
• Previous experience of all formal disciplinary processes including the grievance process.
• Advanced experience with warehouse KPI management.
• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right first-time approach.
• Experience of Kronos time management and Oracle an advantage
