As SHEQ Manager, you'll assist our MEICA site teams and sub-contractors in ensuring safety standards are upheld. You will advise on minimising and avoiding risks around day-to-day work. Our Anglian Water team work on maintaining, repairing and upgrading the Non-Infrastructure Assets.

You must be able to plan, implement, monitor and review protective and preventative safety measures, while working with all stakeholders. You must be able to engage our field teams, in operating safely, and deliver safety improvements that are lead from the front line.

As the SHEQ Manager you would actively collaborate in all contract geographical areas to assist with fulfilment of SHEQ team objectives. You will provide assistance and guidance to operational, management teams. The client on performance and provide root cause analysis to aid relevant coaching and feedback .

You will be able to provide accurate, current HSE advice. Support the contract to ensure adherence to company/client requirements, regulatory standards, and current legislation. You will assist in the production of operational documentation using RAMS, CPP. Consider how risks could be reduced and advising on a range of key activities such as confined spaces, work at height, occupational health, COSHH etc.

You will undertake inspections/audits of operational sites (18 per annum). Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and that contract processes are being properly implemented (out of hours whenever necessary). Provide effective analysis to aid relevant feedback and coaching. You will prioritise, investigate and report on all accidents and incidents. Defining root causes and ensure actions are completed to prevent re-occurrence and ensuring that learning points are fed into SHEQ directorate for continued improvement of policy, standards etc.

You will monitor and develop the SHE culture by driving our continuous improvement strategy programme. Identifying ways of ensuring all personnel are aware of the programme and are actively engaged.

You will support programmes and undertake other SHEQ duties as reasonably required to cover staffing needs. Provide support and guidance to the SHEQW Advisors and other members of the SHEQ team. Undertake any other duties reasonably requested to meet team and company objectives.

As part of a new contract team, you will help to establish our processes and procedures. Help to mobilise our contract undertaking inductions, training and briefings whilst helping to ensure we safely mobilise our new contract.

Do you hold a NEBOSH General/Construction certificate or NCRQ level 3 certificate? This will be essential for this role

Have you gained experience of working in a CDM environment? This is essential to be considered for this role

Do you have a strong background working within the Utility / Water sector?

Can you lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Wellbeing campaigns?
