Shared Services Manager

As a Finance Shared Services Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within our organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include providing support to existing staff, setting performance targets, and ensuring effective credit control processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage finance systems, and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) with internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Improvement Projects
  • Migrate Purchasing to using Purchase Orders and Automated processing
  • Embed new AR Automation to a BAU state
  • Integrate entities currently outside Head Office Control
  • Staff Support and Development:
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the finance team.
    • Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth.
    • Address staff inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Credit Control Performance:
    • Monitor credit control processes, including collections, invoicing, and payment reconciliation.
    • Analyze credit risk and recommend improvements to minimize bad debt.
    • Collaborate with credit analysts and other stakeholders to optimize credit policies.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs):
    • Develop and maintain SLAs with internal stakeholders
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
    • Resolve customer-related inquiries within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Finance Systems Management:
    • Oversee finance systems (e.g., ERP, financial reporting tools).
    • Identify areas for improvement and work with IT to resolve system issues.
    • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Proven experience in finance shared services or similar roles.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., EPM, Docunet) and MS Access.
    • Ability to manage large volumes of data effectively.
