Sewerage Manager

Are you looking for a new leadership role? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Sewerage Manager.
What you'll do

As the Sewerage Manager you will be a key team player of the Sewerage Operations team which strives to deliver excellent customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that all KPIs and standards are met, and all operational needs and targets are achieved.

You will oversee the efficient and effective running of the staff within the business unit, assisting with the training, supervision and general support and mentoring of the crews. Ensuring the health and safety of the team, contractors and yourself is at the forefront of all tasks and duties. You will identify areas for improvement that will assist in reducing costs by efficient working. Also managing and controlling your budget.

Other duties include:

  • communicating incidents, abnormalities, operational needs and changes to the manager, control room and the business
  • ensuring information is provided to maintain support systems for management reports
  • contributing to the planning and implementation of necessary change to meet business goals
  • undertaking audits - site/crew/contractor.

You will also be required to participate in a full duty operation standby rota.
What you'll need

You will be a team player who has a flexible approach within a changing environment. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and effectively resolve sewerage network issues.

You will be an effective communicator and will have the drive to deliver excellent service that constantly meets the changing needs of the business. You will proactively develop using your skills and knowledge to move forward within the business.

In addition, we are looking for:

  • good understanding of sewerage law
  • valid driving licence
  • confined space working certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
