The Role

Cantium Business Solutions, part of the Commercial Services Group are seeking a Service Transition Manager who has prior experience managing change and testing and new IT service introductions.

This is a business essential role as the successful candidate will ensure new, modified or retired services are delivered and strive to meet business requirements. They will oversee the operational execution of change, configuration and release management processes across the integrated supply chain ensuring adherence to policies.

This is a hybrid working role with at least one day per week working in our Kings Hill office, please consider your commute prior to making your application.

Key Duties

• Define policies for service transition and disciplines and establish effective controls and principles and measure performance of policy compliance
• Identify and implement improvements to service transition processes to ensure cost effectiveness and improvements to current processes
• Develop and manage Change and Release processes to deliver results and collaborate on resource planning/deployment to optimize shared resources
• Responsible for the control of Changes and Releases to the live environment and that the integrity and stability of live services is protected
• Responsible for the development and implementation of Knowledge Management across ICT teams ensuring adherence to policies and processes to improve efficiency and drive down cost

What we need from you

• Level 5 or degree qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
• ITIL foundation certificate
• Demonstrable knowledge of IT Service Design and implementation methodology
• Extensive experience of change and release management
• High level experience in commonly used customer applications and their usage
• Strong desire to learn new software/hardware in depth in a timely manner
• Excellent customer interaction skills and comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders and third parties
• A team player and great attitude
