We are currently on the lookout for a Service Manager for our Toyota dealership in Hedge End to ensure the Department provides the best possible service to the customers and achieves agreed profits and retention levels.
Your day
As a Service Manager, you will organise, direct, and control the activities of Service Department colleagues to achieve plans and minimum performance standard (MPS), ensuring optimum use of all materials, financial and personnel resources.
Your day will include:
- Developing Service Department plans and budgets to achieve agreed financial, marketing and sales targets.
- Assessing Service Department market potential and revenue forecasts.
- Developing operating expense, capital budgets and profit improvement targets.
- Agreeing plans and budgets (MPS) with the Franchise Aftersales Manager and inform Department staff to ensure maximum commitment and motivation.
- Developing and implementing a Service Department marketing plan and devising an advertising and promotion budget.
- Utilising monthly management accounts system to monitor and control Department productivity and profitability.
- Conducting service campaigns and promotions in accordance with Dealership requirements.
- Ensuring that a repair order system, reservation system, daily operating controls, Time Analysis and a customer file are maintained.
- Maintaining and continuously evaluating management statistics, plans and MPS and provide information to Manufacturer when required.
- Establishing and maintaining the organisation and staffing levels for the Department including interviewing and selection as required and ensuring that employment policy is in line with existing legislation.
- Ensuring that a programme of internal and external training is devised and implemented for each member of staff.
- Monitoring operations of warranty and goodwill system and ensure that Manufacturer's procedures are followed.
- Ensuring that Department offers the highest level of service to customers by continuously monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving any complaints.

- Attention to detail and maintains good, accurate quality of work.
- Delivers Excellent Customer Service - experience in a similar after sales environment.
- Develops self and others - has experience managing a team.
- Delivers a result and makes things happen - has experience of a target driven environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- PC, Microsoft, web literate.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Proven track record of individual excellence
- Previous Service Manager experience

Hours of work
Monday to Friday 0800 - 1800 (with 1 hour lunch)
