Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• To provide leadership and management oversight for Specialist Children's Services ensuring excellent standards of care and treatment and performance
• To take a lead role in developing and delivering DMT strategies, Specialist Children's strategies and plans
• To develop quality work plans, providing direction and co-ordination in conjunction with professional and management leaders in shaping and implementing current and future provision and quality of services
• To work in partnership with clinical leaders, to maintain a culture within the service of excellence in clinical standards and safety
• In liaison with the Associate Director of Specialist Children's, to take a lead role in the development of Specialist Children's Services
• To deliver services within the framework of the business, financial and annual plans of the CYP Directorate and the Trust
• To ensure Specialist Children's Services' staff engagement in Quality Improvement and other service developments
• In liaison with the Associate Director and other members of the Senior Management Team, to lead and support the development agenda on new service designs and business opportunities, including the preparation and writing of business cases and bids
• The post holder will provide effective leadership and project management input to implement national, trust-wide and local change programmes in relation to Specialist Children's Services. This includes service development, planning and the mobilisation of new services based on local needs
• To deputise for the Associate Director as required
• Operate as a system leader the multi-agency network of children's services, to influence systems and ensure services are delivered as part of integrated systems to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for those in our care
• Manage relationships with external organisations including health commissioners, local authorities, partner agencies and service user groups, acting as an ambassador for Specialist Children's Services and the Trust, building the reputation of the trust and seeking to influence
