  • £56,849 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • 37 hours per week - Flexible working options available
  • Permanent

As our new Service Manager for residential care, you will have a unique opportunity to lead Suffolk County Councils six Children's Homes and develop further in-house provision. You will be keen to take forward key priorities for the homes, working closely with your managers and have outstanding leadership skills, and have the ability to drive through changes to improve outcomes for Children in Care.

You will:

  • lead and promote good practice, developing a clear vision for the service
  • have the ability, creativity and commitment to deliver a high-quality care service for some of the most vulnerable children in our community.

You will need

  • recent management experience in a children's residential setting and be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the Children's Act, the Care Standards Act, the Children's Homes regulations 2015 and the current issues facing children in care
  • excellent organisational and communication skills to job manage this role successfully.
