The service you will work in....

The KCW Cove is a drop-in service where residents of the boroughs can go if they are experiencing a mental health crisis.

We are a safe, inviting, and inclusive space for individuals who are struggling to cope with their mental health and daily life. On meeting with service users, we aim to support them to reduce their immediate anxiety and crisis.

Support includes:

  • A safe, welcoming space and a listening ear
  • 1-to-1 support to help you to find the best path forward
  • Support to develop your own safety plan for the next day as well as longer term plans which could involve contact with statutory services.
  • Support to find and access other services in your area that interest you.
  • Drop-in crisis support
  • Hot drink and a snack

We are open from 2-10pm Monday- Sunday, 365 days a year. The service is open to residents aged 16+ of both Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and City of Westminster.

As a Service Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • Create and lead a high-performing team to achieve individual and service outcomes
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of and ensure that your service adheres to the relevant legislation and policy including GDPR, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Health and Safety, Care Act, housing related support, Mental Health services and Hestia policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate skills needed to develop effective relationships with teams, individuals, their service users
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Team to ensure effective referrals through the A&E Psych Liaison pathway
  • Create and maintain positive and effective relationships within and beyond the organisation
  • Ensuring that the service and all members of the team understand and have a strong focus on Hestia's safeguarding procedures and legislations
  • Ensure that all service and client information is appropriately recorded and shared in line with policy, legislation and good practice
  • Deliver co-produced services that is outcome based and person-centred
  • Support others to challenge discrimination and exclusion in ways that are likely to achieve change.
  • Deliver services that are safe, complying with all relevant health and safety policies and legislation
  • Ensure a commitment to personal development by continually improving learner's own knowledge and practice and that of the team through, self-reflection, supervision and performance management.
  • Manage and show accountability for service resources through recruitment, retention and induction; budgetary control; disciplinary and grievance processes, arrears and voids management and service performance data
  • Use strategies and tools to build self-resilience, maintain wellbeing whilst deliver to workload requirements.

We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of passion, expertise, and dedication to the table. To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team based across various premises to achieve service outcomes
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and auditing service users' support and safety assessment plans.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and how to implement policy in practice.
  • Manage all elements of service performance related to the contract requirements including analysis of KPIs, outcomes and user experience measures
  • Lead on the development and implementation the service's annual Business Plans.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively to a wide range of audiences
  • Numerate and literate with the ability to interrogate budgets, data and produce reports
  • Able to confidently use a range of IT packages including MS Office and databases
  • Lead in planning, negotiating and managing the budgets
  • An understanding of co-production and the ability to ensure that the service is delivered in partnership with service users
  • Experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training, disciplinary action and grievance issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
