Are you a qualified Social Worker who is a dynamic leader with a passion for improving lives through exceptional care?

Croydon Council, Adults Social Care, is seeking to recruit an Adults Early Intervention Service Manager to work with our dedicated teams, leading the way in delivering vital first-point-of-contact services to adults in need of support.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the Front Door teams, providing expert guidance and support to ensure timely and efficient responses to referrals and inquiries received. The post holder will ensure that decisions about care eligibility and safeguarding concerns are made in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.

You will lead the coordination of assessments, ensuring that individuals receive the right care and advice promptly. We are looking for the right person to drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery, ensuring best practices are adhered to.

We need someone inspiring, proactive and strategic with a positive mindset. The successful person will be an outstanding relationship builder who will work across and outside of the council to engage with other teams, professions and sectors for the benefit of the resident. You will have a customer-focused approach, promoting a strengths-based approach to assessments, focusing on early intervention, prevention, and supporting independence. The role requires that you ensure that individuals, carers, and families receive clear and accessible information and advice. You will work closely with individuals and communities to ensure that services are responsive and inclusive, particularly for vulnerable or hard-to-reach groups.

You will be able to motivate, problem solve, relationship build and develop, whilst working on progressive strategies to drive improvement and efficiencies.

You will need knowledge and understanding of social care, housing and welfare including the legislation around the Care Act, but most importantly you will be able to see and release the potential of this team of multi-disciplinary professions.

You will collaborate with internal teams, healthcare providers, and external agencies to streamline access to social care services whilst managing and developing a highly skilled team, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and respect.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate proven experience in adult social care management, ideally in a front-line or access service, holding strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Hold in-depth knowledge of adult social care legislation and best practices and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience in managing the service's budget is required. You will monitor and evaluate the performance of the Front Door service, using key performance indicators (KPIs) and service user feedback. Regular reporting to senior management on service performance, outcomes, and areas for development is a requirement of this role.

In return you receive a competitive salary and benefits package and ability to work to a hybrid model. Opportunities for further learning and development. The chance to make a real difference in the lives of adults requiring social care support. A supportive and collaborative working environment.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and Children's and Adults barred list check.
