  • Management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in a management role
  • Experience of managing, leading and motivating a team

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working in urgent and emergency care
  • Experience in the NHS in a managerial role

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Financial procedures and a working knowledge of financial processes
  • Business planning/annual planning
  • Knowledge of service improvements/transformation and project management

Desirable criteria

  • NHS IT systems

Personal Skills

Essential criteria

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills - ability to analyse data/information and make judgements/draw conclusions - including ability to respond to unexpected demands
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal - able to provide and receive complex, sensitive information and use persuasion, influencing and negotiation with individuals and groups including stakeholders
