Job description
Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week.
An unusual opportunity has arisen for a permanent Service Manager working in Adult Social Care. You will be based in our South Bristol Locality Services.
Working with and under the direction of the Head of Service you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of agreed processes within the three community teams that make up the South Locality, ensuring that Statutory and mandatory responsibilities are met by the service.
As part of senior leadership team, you will have line management responsibility for team managers and teams in this service area.
You will be required to manage, support and promote team managers in safe effective decision-making using strength-based approaches that maximise independence to people who use care and support in Bristol.
As a Service Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that high levels of performance and delivery are maintained using quality assurance and audit.
You will oversee governance, improvements to contribute to high quality service delivery and manage budgets and resources effectively.
You will be required to model and promote good equalities value and promote diversity across services.
You will be responsible for leading and participating in service and strategic development within Adult Social Care and supporting the Head of Service with key service changes and delivery. This will include working closely with people who us care and support services, carers and other partner agencies.
This is an exciting time to be joining this service as we strive to work in greater partnership with Community Health Partnerships and Voluntary Organisations in a locality model that you will assist in developing.
