Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Specialist knowledge of health service business/operational management or project management qualification/experience acquired through a degree or equivalent experience, plus further staff or and business/operational management experience equivalent to post graduate level
• Evidence of continued professional development

Experience

Essential criteria

• Relevant NHS management experience and staff management experience, up-to-date knowledge of NHS policies and strategies relevant to the post
• Keyboard and computer skills. Knowledge of computerised software packages including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Desirable criteria

• Experience in the NHS directly related to the main duties of the post. Evidence of achievements working in a complex environment. Evidence of performance management and meeting challenging targets. Knowledge of Trust Care Records System (CRS)

Skills

Essential criteria

• Good communication skills, effective motivator and facilitator. Good analytical skills. Ability to think creatively and laterally. Diplomatic.
• Ability to cope with a large unprecedented workload, work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Able to work in a busy operational environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable criteria

• Demonstrates effective leadership skills, budgetary management skills

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
