About the role:
As a key member of the team, you will manage newly built void properties and support a team of property maintenance technicians and a scheduler. Your role will focus on maintaining property conditions and ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency. You will contribute to the team's commercial viability and quality service provision. This roles main location is our Northampton office 1/2 days per week and the rest of the role will be spilt between field-based and working from home.
Key Duties include:
- Lead and support the maintenance team to ensure productivity, meeting KPIs and quality targets while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Oversee work scheduling, collaborating with the scheduler and technicians to ensure effective, cost-efficient allocation and timely completion of maintenance.
- Conduct property inspections, develop relet schedules, and provide accurate cost and time estimates for efficient resource management.
- Ensure Health & Safety protocols are rigorously followed, and conduct regular vehicle and equipment checks to maintain operational standards.
- Oversee stock and van audits, review scheduling systems, and validate expenses to promote efficiency and prevent fraud.
- Offer technical advice to contractors and colleagues, ensuring high standards across all activities and maintaining adherence to Sage Homes policies.
- Manage customer and partner relationships professionally, addressing issues promptly and fostering a positive, responsive service environment.
About you
- Proven experience managing technicians, contractors, and office staff.
- Multi-trade expertise, with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, and finishing trades.
- Experience in a customer-facing maintenance role and familiarity with scheduling systems.
- Strong communication and organisational skills; proactive and resilient.
- Flexible, able to work overtime and handle emergency callouts when required.
- Holds a current clean driver's license.
