Service Contracts Manager

Desoutter offers the manufacturing industry class leading tooling products (electric & pneumatic products, aftermarket solutions and accessories). Our target markets include Automotive, Automotive Aftermarket, Aerospace, Light Assembly and General Industry. The CP Division operates globally with a primary focus in Europe, North America, India, China and Brazil, and employs approximately 900 people worldwide.

Due to our exciting expansion plans, we are currently looking to recruit an Aftermarket Contracts and Sales Manager to Manage our existing service contracts and to develop our sales of aftermarket products into the UK market. Reporting to the UK Service Business Line Manager and working with other key personnel you will be required to implement a specific business plan for the area including sales & marketing.

Your Role:
The main function is to facilitate profitable area Service market growth by;

  • Promote Desoutter 4.0 and our mission to enable our customers to accelerate their transformation by delivering excellent service and boosting their uptime, productivity and efficiency.
  • Constantly promote Data-Driven Services and support the development of all stakeholders to drive these solutions to market.
  • Develop and implement of a methodology to measure and drive Service Transformation - to grow customers from reactive to proactive service and solutions.
  • Develop new and existing Service customers with the Service range of products, transformation to higher level Service contracts
  • Increase Service share of Desoutter Sales.
  • Maximise Sales opportunities using a Service Value approach.
  • Build an effective business relationship with distribution and customers at all levels and undertake presentations to enhance the company profile.
  • Work with the CPI Sales and Projects team to maximize opportunities.
  • Train and development of Desoutter Sales and Service teams including the field of value sales.
  • Development of Desoutter Service Partners as a vehicle to maximize Management of new product introduction into the market including product launches, training, and evaluation.
  • Effective planning, organizing, prioritizing, and managing sales data including the timely recordings of visits, action reports, monthly reports and analysis of sales performance against budget.
  • Develop and implement of the 1:1 ratio - with the goal of having one service interaction, per tool, per year.
  • Constantly strive to improve our level of customer satisfaction using innovation to measure and take actions to improve.
  • Plan and organize own daily and weekly visit schedules.
  • Effectively promote the Desoutter company image to ensure all our customers become brand advocates.
  • Seek to constantly improve customer satisfaction results measured by NPS.
  • Be prepared to travel throughout the UK & Ireland.

To succeed, you will need:

  • You must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, and be very flexible in your approach to working.
  • Will have extensive experience within Industrial Service & Support, strong technical and organisational skills plus good business acumen Reliability and trustworthiness are essential qualities for the successful applicant.
  • Good knowledge and experience with integration and communication software, developing a strategy of how the Service will support 'Industry 4.0'
  • Experience in B2B direct sales is very important and distributor channel management is an advantage.
  • The role will be field-based in the UK.
  • Qualifications should ideally include a relevant industrial apprenticeship plus a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.

  • The successful candidate must have a UK work permit to apply for this position.
