Work Location: Loxley House Nottingham, NG2 3NG

Worker Category: Hybrid worker - Predominantly home working with team days in the office every two weeks. May be more if needed, there may also be requirement to travel to Leicester for specific meetings.

Salary: £59,580 increasing to £65,550 over a 4 year period. Any annual inflationary increases are in addition.

Benefit: Excellent Pension Scheme available: 17.2% of annual salary

Benefit: 28 days annual leave (increasing to 33 after 5 years of service) plus Bank Holidays.

Working Hours: 37 per week Mon - Fri 8:30am to 5pm (4:30pm on Fridays)

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:

We are looking for a Finance Service Centre Manager to lead our busy Transactional Finance Service.

The FSC is a busy transaction finance service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services. We provide transactional finance services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.

The FSC (Finance Service Centre) includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Customer Service, Master Data & Data Entry.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Have experience in managing a busy transactional finance service as well as experience managing a large team.
  • Be able to develop and influence key stakeholders, creating concepts and new opportunities that the FSC can deliver to existing partners and external clients.
  • Ensure that the activities within the FSC operate in a highly controlled and compliant manner, ensuring that the service meets the agreed Service Level Agreement, performance targets and audit requirements.
  • Performance manage and develop all staff to ensure that they are able to operate effectively, driving forward service efficiencies and improvements.
  • Represent the FSC in all finance and project management matters.
  • Ensure that KPI reporting adds value providing a transparent overview of all service provision.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders with the ability to communicate at board level.
