Job Description
As the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to drive organic search visibility and website traffic in the UK market. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our SEO efforts align with overall marketing and business objectives.
Reporting to the Head of SEO, you will be part of the Performance Marketing team, where you will lead content creation and on-page optimization efforts, ensuring high-quality, SEO-optimized content that resonates with target keywords and user intent.
You will also spearhead our backlink strategy, fostering relationships with authoritative websites to improve domain authority and acquire high-quality backlinks. Staying at the forefront of industry trends, search engine algorithms, and emerging SEO practices, you will drive innovation and continuously improve our SEO performance.
What you will do
Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, encompassing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, to increase organic search visibility and drive website traffic.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for content optimization and target relevant search queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SEO strategies with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Develop and implement a robust backlink strategy, including outreach, link acquisition, and relationship building with authoritative websites.
Marketing Effectiveness
- Lead content creation efforts for blogs and websites, ensuring high-quality, SEO-optimized content that aligns with target keywords and user intent.
- Develop and implement on-page SEO strategies, including meta tags, headings, internal linking, and URL structure optimization.
- Optimize website content and architecture to improve crawlability, indexation, and user experience.
- Collaborate with content creators to provide SEO guidance and support
Innovation
- Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging SEO practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Explore and implement new SEO techniques, tools, and technologies to optimize organic search performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive the "test & learn roadmap", ensure a successful learning process and a reporting structure.
People Management
- Lead and manage the SEO team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Must have the right to work in the UK/Gibraltar as we are unable to offer sponsorship this time.
- People management experience - we are looking for a leader, someone who can not only manage performance, but also motivate, develop and mentor a team.
- Fluent in the analysis and presentation of data; complex data sets reduced to clear messages resulting in action from the various marketing teams.
- Experience in SEO marketing, with a strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies.
- Experience in content creation and optimization for SEO, with a focus on keyword research and on-page optimization techniques.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging SEO practices.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs.
- Leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
- Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships to influence and guide amongst different levels of stakeholder seniority.
- Experience of managing complex, multi-brand budgets on a significant scale and demonstrating agility and flexibility in spend and target allocation.
- High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
