Salary: FC4 £23,633.23 to £25,829.49

Working Pattern: 16 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Location: Based at Town House, Kirkcaldy

Job Details

We believe all young people should be encouraged to maximise their potential and work towards meeting their varying needs. If appointed, you will support delivery of a programme to engage young people in role with a focus on supporting the delivery of Youth Work in Schools throughout the Kirkcaldy and surrounding area in a caring, safe and welcoming environment as part of a team.

You will have a range of responsibilities including:

Plan, organise and implement structured learning programmes and activities.

Support young people to address individual learning needs.

Engage young people in activities which raise confidence and aspirations.

Develop and deliver learning opportunities and programmes appropriate to the learner's needs and abilities.

Engage young people in learning to help support them towards, and into work.

Provide support and guidance to enable young people to achieve their learning goals.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we'd like to hear from you:

Group facilitation skills

Ability to handle challenging situations confidently

Ability to motivate young people and encourage participation

Ability to develop positive relationships with young people

You should have significant experience in a youth work setting, experience of developing and delivering learning and education programmes with young people, good organisational skills and an ability to plan programmes around the needs of young people.
