Working alongside the service's Women's Lead, this post will deliver specialist support to women experiencing multiple disadvantage. Working closely with VAWG, Street Outreach, Adult Social care teams & coproduction networks the post will improve engagement with women who are not currently accessing treatment due to a number of barriers. This post will also improve retention in treatment for women who most require intensive 1-2-1 treatment advice and guidance and a preference based, trauma-informed approach to how and where their treatment is delivered.
- Deliver out-reach/in-reach engagement and treatment to women who are not in treatment via a range of partners across the borough.
- Work with key partners and identify areas we need to improve our support to women experiencing multiple disadvantage.
- Deliver intensive support to a medium sized caseload of women who are engaging in structured treatment or are working towards this.
At our Camden service, we are dedicated to providing support for individuals who access our services. We aim to empower every individual by offering holistic support and personalised treatment to meet their unique needs. We provide a range of options, including one-to-one and group sessions, complemented by medical and clinical treatments.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range : £31,529.41 - £33,708.57 per year (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time)
Contract Type: Fixed Term until March 2025
Allowance:Inner London Weighting of £4,072.06 (pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Worker, you'll play a vital role in our Camden service, working closely with our Women's Lead to provide specialist support for women experiencing multiple disadvantages.
Your role will include:
- Supporting individuals from the moment they enter the service and throughout their treatment journey, offering a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
- Conducting screenings and assessments, developing tailored recovery plans, and connecting individuals with relevant services.
- Helping reduce the harms associated with drug and alcohol use for individuals and the community.
- Collaborating with key partners such as VAWG, Street Outreach, Adult Social Care, and co-production networks to enhance support and engagement.
- Providing trauma-informed, 1-2-1 treatment and advocacy for women, empowering them to overcome barriers and pursue their recovery goals.

- An understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a related field.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and confidence in using IT systems.

- Knowledge of mental health interventions and best practices, with a commitment to learning and growth.
- Interpersonal skills that foster collaboration with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
- A passion for supporting others and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
