The role

We are seeking an experienced and hands on Senior Integration Engineer to build and maintain integrations between 3rd party and internal systems. The individual is a key technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing sophisticated integration solutions that enable seamless communication and data flow between diverse software solutions.

This role involves leading integration projects, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of integration strategies aligned with business objectives.

You will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies and become the SME for the team, imparting knowledge to others and ensuring that documentation maintained to a high standard.

This role is offered on a remote basis, with occasional travel to the office.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing integration strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee and lead complex integration projects from conception to completion.
  • Architect and design scalable and robust integration solutions, considering long-term system sustainability and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to align integration strategies with overall IT architecture.
  • Mentor and guide junior integration engineers, providing technical expertise, best practices, and constructive feedback.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs for the integration team.
  • Establish and enforce integration governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in integration solutions.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in integration engineering roles.
  • Proven leadership experience in designing and implementing complex integration solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of integration technologies, middleware, and best practices.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or others commonly used in integration.
  • Experience with API design, RESTful APIs, and other integration protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and Terraform IaC
  • Knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL processes is important for effectively moving and transforming data between different systems.
