Senior Web Analyst

Location: London Reporting to: Analytics Manager

The role

At Rightmove, millions of people visit us every month, making us the leading property portal in the UK. The Data and Analytics harness a wealth of data on how people use Rightmove and what this means to both our customers and consumers. As a Senior Web Analyst, you will be part of a collaborative, ambitious and determined team of analysts that are responsible for i) implementing advanced tracking specs ii) analysing online behaviour of our users and site performance and conducting data analysis that produces clear and actionable insights and iii) providing effective measurement solutions for projects. As well, the team use data and analytics to inform strategic and operational product decisions and contribute to the development of Rightmove's product strategy.

We're on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Web Analyst to join us on this exciting journey that can bring a wealth of experience in delivering insights to help increase users to the site, create deeper engagement and improve online conversion. Above all, we're looking for someone to advocate for end-users and help drive a data-guided culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the commercial product team to understand product needs, influencing the product roadmap with insightful recommendations that make a tangible impact.
  • Craft compelling reports and analysis, ensuring a shared understanding of commercial user behaviour, product usage, conversion, and measurable success metrics.
  • Work hand-in-hand with commercial product owner, gathering requirements and providing support in areas that demand strategic insight.
  • Draw on Rightmove's rich data and uncover hidden patterns that is not obvious to others and could indicate opportunities.
  • Keep an eye on industry trends, identifying challenges and opportunities to keep Rightmove at the forefront.
  • Cultivate a culture of data-driven decision making with in the Commercial product team through training and consumption of new and existing dashboards.
  • Drive data driven decision making through A/B testing and multivariate test hypotheses.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted advisor for web analytics, site changes and new initiatives and new opportunities.
  • Support the Director of Data & Analytics and Analytics Manager in developing best in class analytics solutions.
  • Manage and mentor members of the team, including reviewing work and helping develop analytical skills and capabilities.
  • Prioritisation of requests and tickets to balance the strategic and tactical information needs of the business.

We are looking for someone who

  • As a guide, around 5 years' experience in Digital Analytics
  • Has extensive experience working with Google Analytics, with a preference for GA4.
  • Demonstrates strong SQL skills in BigQuery to find answers to ad-hoc and often complex questions. Additional programming languages is a plus.
  • Has proficiency in dashboarding and reporting tools like Looker Core and Looker Studio
  • Is a pro-active self-starter with a passion for sharing knowledge in a collaborative environment.
  • Possesses exceptional organisational skills, multi-tasking ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbally.
  • Has proven adaptability to fast-changing priorities and is able to meet deadlines.
  • Stay connected with market trends for ongoing innovation.
  • Has experience of effective technical conversations and pairing with data engineers and software engineers to productionise outputs.
  • Has experience managing and mentoring team members.
