We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Trading to join our Securities Finance team. This role is in London. In this role, you'll be involved in the development of a new Total Return Swap offering, designing, and implementing the product for commercial distribution and trading the product following launch.
The Markets business helps our clients formulate, implement, and operationalize their investment strategies. It provides clients with financing, execution, liquidity, and collateral solutions that are integrated with BNY 's asset servicing ecosystem. The Markets division is primarily organized into four Lines of Business: i) Foreign Exchange; ii) Securities Finance; iii) Liquidity and Margin Services; and, iv) Fixed Income and Equities (FIEQ)
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Trading Execution: Negotiate and trade Total Return Swaps & Price Return Swaps. Optimise revenue by effectively utilising client securities in accordance with client, bank, and regulatory guidelines. Price transactions based on market supply and demand factors, make prompt decisions and react to daily market changes.
- Industry network: Establish and maintain strong relationships with Trading desks within the bank and broker dealer community.
- Regulatory & market expertise: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements and market infrastructure relating to TRS in various markets and jurisdictions.
- TRS financials expertise: demonstrate thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting and financial calculations and treatments of TRS.
- Risk mitigation: Monitor the trading book closely and ensure effective risk management to avoid any exposure to both BNY and our clients. Work closely with operations teams to minimize all risk situations. Liaise with trade support, settlement and corporate actions teams to promote efficiencies throughout the trading process.
- Trading analytics: Perform analysis to maximize the return from BNY's financing portfolio. Analyze and interpret data, in order to make, support, and articulate trading decisions. Understand & optimise impact of trades on business metric ROC/RWA.
- Commercial offering: Contribute to the commercial definition and go-to-market strategy for BNY's TRS product, including client offering, opportunity analysis and pricing. Engage clients to evolve the model from Day 1 minimum viable product to a full-service offering.
- Product implementation: Apply deep subject matter expertise to facilitate the end-to-end implementation of the TRS product. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, legal, risk, technology and operations, to create use cases, define requirements and solutions and liaise with implementation teams to facilitate testing.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Maths & Economics A levels or equivalent Degree
- Several years' experience in Financial Markets and Securities Finance
- In-depth knowledge of TRS products and associated regulatory, risk management and operational impacts.
- Good technology skills
- Expertise in end-to-end product implementation, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
