We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President to join our Corporate Actions/Income team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity. (4 days a week in the office).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manage and provides direction to a team of c. 100 business technology liaison staff supporting the technical needs of the business area.
  • Manages initiatives to analyse complex business problems to be solved with improved systems, providing enhancements and recommendations as needed.
  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements.
  • Works with business areas to identify opportunities for technical improvements.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Manages a team of professionals including coaching, performance management and resource allocation.
  • Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of team members.

In this role, you'll oversee the below tasks:

  • Delivery:
    • Collaborate with the Product Owner, Business, SMEs, and End Users to gather and develop story level requirements in JIRA that allows the Development Team to deliver consistent level of high-quality code.
    • Required to participate in all agile /sprint activities (planning, backlog refinement, retrospective, standups, and design)
  • Requirements (Stories)
    • Validate stories with cross functional stakeholders, including Product Owner, Business, SMEs, and End Users to gather requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Testing/Implementation
    • Review test cases with testers to ensure test results meet expected outcomes as defined in acceptance criteria.
    • Review testing failures to identify potential missed / new requirements or defects.
  • Production/ Operational Readiness
    • Prepare and circulate release notes, as a part of operational readiness
    • Support other Ops readiness activities as delegated by Product Owner

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Technical skills:
    • Agile methodology
    • Project Management using JIRA & Confluence
    • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
    • Business Analytics using Microsoft Power BI & Tableau
  • Business acumen / knowledge of:
    • Asset Servicing.
    • Custody Product Knowledge, specifically:
      • Corporate Action and Income product from Custody business perspective
      • Proxy product from Custody business perspective
      • Class Action product from Custody business perspective
  • Research skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • People / Interpersonal skills
    • Conflict Management: Should be able to manage conflicts efficiently while working on Projects.
    • Stakeholder management: Should have strong experience in managing senior stakeholders as part of Projects.
  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Negotiation skills - As part of refinement negation may be required between different stakeholders to get to the final agreed requirement.
