Description

As a Senior VFX Artist, you will work in collaboration with variety of artists, designers and engineers to achieve the finest visual results, creating VFX that will elevate the visuals and experience in the game.

Working closely with the Lead VFX Artist, Art Directors and Production team, you will ensure that your work is delivered on time and has both and exceptional look and performance in game.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of high-quality visual effects to be used in gameplay and real-time cinematics.
  • Combine traditional art aesthetics with next-gen authoring techniques to create visually compelling VFX.
  • Stay up to date on the capabilities and workflows in Game Engine and other authoring tools as provided and used by the company.
  • Partner with engineers and tech artists to help further enhance our art pipeline and grow our effectiveness in rapid iteration game development.
  • Collaborate closely with lighting artists, mission scripters and cinematic artists to implement VFX in the game.
  • Ensure VFX assets conform to the defined technical and artistic requirements.
  • Work with production staff to manage personal deliverables, ensuring they meet the defined objectives, defined quality bar, and schedule.
  • Mentor and inspire junior artists.
  • Understand and adhere to the project art direction.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across your work to meet objectives, quality bar, and schedule.

Requirements

  • Experience with crafting outstanding real-time visual effects using DCC apps and in-game VFX systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience as an artist in the games industry.
  • Strong experience of asset creation tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, Houdini, etc.
  • Experience working with Unreal.
  • A strong understanding of art fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of lighting details, and the ability to use them in creating visual effects that support gameplay and cinematography.
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to successfully work across multiple teams.
  • A positive, collaborative and professional working attitude.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
