Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Surgery Lead

Location: Blake Vets, Bridgwater & Burnham.

Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE

Job Type: Full-time - 40 Hours per week.

The Role:

As Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Surgery Lead, you'll be at the heart of our surgical services.

Your role will include:

Leading and developing our surgical department, focusing on advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Mentoring and supporting a talented team of vets, helping them grow their surgical skills.

Playing a key role in shaping the practice's future alongside our leadership team.

Performing a diverse range of surgeries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

Providing dedicated post-op care to more complex surgical cases.

Building strong client relationships through clear, compassionate communication.

Keeping up with the latest surgical advancements and implementing best practices.

Inpatient care on a rotational duty basis.

Weekend on a rotational basis, you will be part of a 1-7 full weekends and 1-7 Friday night - Saturday morning, as part of the senior role you will expected to support the management with sickness and holiday cover.

About You:

We're looking for someone who:

Has significant surgical experience and a strong bias towards surgery.

Is confident handling a variety of surgical cases and making key clinical decisions but is also happy to work up their own workload as well as understanding the importance of being able to carry out the medical aspects of the role.

Has a natural ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team.

Is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

Works well with others and communicates effectively.

Holds RCVS registration and is ready to hit the ground running.
