Inglis Vets are on the lookout for a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead the team at our busy Corstorphine branch. Our two-vet branch has the support of a client care advisor, animal care assistant and part time RVN, as well as part of the wider Inglis Team. This long-standing practice enjoys a loyal clientele and a friendly team.

The role involves a good mixture of supporting our veterinary team with operations, procedures and consultations and driving the practice forward. You will have access to a good mixed caseload and new ideas are always welcomed and supported. Your responsibilities will include maintaining Practice Standards, monitoring, stock, equipment and medications and overseeing the running of the branch with the support of the wider Inglis Team.

Whether you prefer fixed or flexible work patterns, we are committed to finding the right solution for you. We are looking for someone to cover 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days between 7:30am - 7pm Monday to Friday. There is a requirement to work approximately 1:6 weekends with stand down time, we have only very occasional need for out of hours cover due to our dedicated Night Nurses.

The full time hours for this role would include working 40 hours over 4 days per week however we welcome candidates looking for part time / flexible working hours. There is no out of hours or weekend working requirement.

Our Dunfermline Satellite Branch on Hospital Hill is kitted out with excellent facilities such as a hydrotherapy tank for complementary therapy and across our branches, we have; digital x-ray, advanced ultrasound, multi-parameters, capnography, a full suite of laparoscopy and endoscopy, cat-only waiting and consult rooms, as well as fully equipped laboratories. Our Corstorphine Branch is easily accessible on a main bus route with parking.

About the Team and Culture

We have a large team of RVN's, ACA's, VCA's, Vets and support staff working together throughout our nine sites with our Hospital in Dunfermline supporting out of hours and emergency care for all 9 sites. We have a passionate and hardworking team of 100 employees, including over 30 Registered Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants, 30 Vets and 30 Support Staff. In addition to our permanent staff, we have a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, dermatologist and ophthalmologist. We are very enthusiastic about our teams' development and currently have vets studying for certificates in medicine, surgery and cardiology.
