We are looking for a Senior Underwriter who is forward looking and has established relationships with both clients and brokers within the Upstream Energy class of business.

The ideal candidate will be data and analytically driven, have excellent negotiation skills and be results orientated.

Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the creation and execution of the underwriting strategic intent
• Actively source and underwrite new business to meet profitability targets and execute the team's strategy, working with both your established network and building new networks to produce new business
• Underwrite Upstream Energy risks in line with Underwriting Strategy and adhere to the legal and regulatory framework
• Work collaboratively across functions, including Portfolio Optimisation, Claims and Operations, to ensure achievement of shared goals
• Manage referrals and undertake peer reviews with underwriters
• Create and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively support key projects which compliment your role and the Energy team's strategic development.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
• Experienced London market Underwriter & results driven
• Experience in working in and underwriting profitable business in the Upstream Energy segment
• Have established relationships with clients and brokers within the Upstream Energy class
• Good understanding of the global Upstream Energy insurance market
• Data led and analytically minded
• Have a good understanding of the legal and regulatory environment
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to build, maintain and expand relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
