Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to join a fast-paced global FTSE 100 Plc and one of the largest in-house Tax Teams in the North (11 at Head Office, 3 in Spain and 10 in the US).
- We are looking to recruit a Senior Transfer Pricing Manager to join the Group Tax Team.
- Reporting to the Group Head of Direct Tax, the role will be responsible for leading the global transfer pricing compliance for the Group including policy development, preparation of documentation and contributing to all transfer pricing aspects of global tax audits.
- We are looking for an individual who has extensive Transfer Pricing experience, ideally (but not essential) in Retail, who currently works in practice or in-house.
- As part of the role you will engage with various stakeholders including the Group Tax Team, local Reporting Teams, local Commercial Finance Teams, in-house Legal Teams, tax authorities, the Group's auditors and the Group Finance Director.
- You will need to work autonomously as a subject matter expert and be able to articulate technical areas in a concise and coherent manner.
What does the job involve?
- Lead the global transfer pricing compliance for the Group. This will involve developing the global transfer pricing operating model, developing polices, preparing the required documentation and contributing to all transfer pricing aspects of the Group's global tax audits.
- Lead the Group's compliance for Country by Country Reporting and the various associated filing requirements in all territories.
- Liaise with the Group's auditors in respect of all transfer pricing aspects, including any IFRIC 23 implications, as part of the annual audit
- Provide clear direction to relevant stakeholders on the pertinent aspects of the Group's transfer pricing strategy and policy.
- Liaise with the in-house Legal Team to ensure all inter-company agreements are up to date and fit for purpose.
- Liaise with the Global Mobility Team to assess potential permanent establishment risks resulting from changes in the operating model.
What You'll Bring
- ACA, CTA or equivalent qualification, with more than 3+ years of post qualified experience.
- Knowledge and experience of the practical application of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills alongside a concise verbal and written communication style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level).
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage, coach and develop more junior members of the Tax Team.
