Are you purpose-led and ready to shape the future of sustainable cotton? Join us at Better Cotton as Senior Traceability Coordinator and help deliver a global traceability platform that connects impact with sourcing for the world's largest cotton sustainability initiative; supporting more sustainable farming practices and better livelihoods for nearly 3 million farmers in 23 countries worldwide.
The Challenge
Looking ahead to 2030, we are targeting a 50% reduction in GHG emissions from cotton production, major cuts in synthetic pesticide use, improved soil health, higher farm income, and greater empowerment for women farmers and farm workers.
As Senior Traceability Coordinator, you will play a key role in helping us achieve these ambitions by developing and implementing digital traceability solutions that bring transparency and accountability to global cotton supply chains.
Areas that play to your strengths
We are seeking a motivated Senior Traceability Coordinator to join our Traceability team within the Demand and Engagement function. In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and lead improvements and innovations for Better Cotton's traceability system, ensuring updates are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Consult with internal teams and external partners to identify needs, gather technical requirements, and co-create effective solutions.
- Develop business cases and project documentation, including budgets, risk registers, and implementation plans.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, coordinating inputs from IT, Communications, and Training teams to ensure smooth system launches and stakeholder readiness.
- Conduct research and develop proof-of-concept pilots in emerging areas such as farm-level traceability, circularity, and interoperability with external systems.
- Support the rollout of traceability solutions in new countries and with benchmarking partners, ensuring readiness, consistency, and quality.
- Act as a key liaison for post-launch support, maintaining institutional knowledge and ensuring long-term system sustainability.
- Represent Better Cotton in sector discussions and working groups on traceability standards, interoperability, and innovation.
