QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria

  • Qualification in relevant topic to foundation degree level / level 5 equivalent qualification

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of completion of relevant training e.g. food hygiene, moving and handling
  • Valid driving licence, or means or travelling independently in the community

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

  • Previous/current experience of a working in a UK-based therapy assistant / Occupational Therapy assistant / Physiotherapy assistant role with demonstrable evidence of completion of competencies
  • Evidence of working within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrable knowledge of NHS discharge processes

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrates a good basic understanding of the Senior Therapy Assistant role being applied for and able to articulate this in the application
  • Good communication skills both with colleagues and service users
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of common medical and frailty conditions
  • Basic computer and electronic record keeping skills
