WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Inverter Rig Technician will be responsible for conducting and delivering tests to fulfil customer requests across our HV test facilities. Tests will cover durability, mechanical development, and Inverter control & calibration. Working as part of a team you will deliver high quality test data. You will need to be collaborative by nature, supporting others and having a 'can do, will do' attitude helping to ensure that the workflow targets are met. You will be expected to work, with minimum supervision, taking personal responsibility for your own actions and for the quality and accuracy of the work that you conduct.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Conduct test set up activities, following process to deliver a high-quality installation.
• Ensure all tooling is within calibration and raise non-conformance with supervisor.
• Accurate instrumentation fitment onto Powertrain systems under test.
• Regular servicing and repairs as necessary on systems under test
• Support Rig test facility Utilisation diary logs and facility breakdown reporting.
• Operation of the test rig manually and using the automation system
• Update / Modification and Creation of automated test routines.
• Selection of appropriate automated tests from an existing library.
• Creation and maintenance of local work instructions and process documents
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency.
• Strong, practical skills with good manual dexterity
• Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English, Maths and Science
• Ability to follow written and spoken instruction and interface well with internal customers and other team members.
• Experience operating a modern automated test rig / bed - with automation systems such as but not limited to the following: AVL Puma, Sierra CP, FEV Morphee, dSpace, etc.
