Senior Test Support Engineer
PCA Test
Mission/Purpose
Provide Senior engineer-level support for Keysight i3070 ICT Systems and associated Bed-Of-Nails Test Fixtures. Execute various projects to aid in reducing FTTFR and increasing Test equipment resilience, flexibility, and capability.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Second-line level troubleshooting of unexpected problems with our Keysight 3070 ICT Systems and their associated Bed-Of-Nails Test Fixtures and Test Programs, as and when they occur.
- Use data analysis tools to identify problematic tests and fixtures and take appropriate remedial actions
- Order and commission replacement or additional test fixtures, as required.
- Work to optimise tests to minimise first-time failures and reduce test time.
- Implement updates to test programmes and fixtures as part of product Engineering Change process.
- Help ensure ICT tests are kept up to the latest standards and best practices by investigating new test methodologies that could increase the level of test automation and reduce test times.
- Monitor capacity of all ATE systems and jig usage and identify bottleneck areas.
- Education level: Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in Test System Support or Development.
- A proven track record in providing engineer-level support for In-Circuit ICT Board Test Systems (ideally Keysight 3070).
- The ability to read and work from electronic schematics and system diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design.
- Pragmatic approach to putting in place appropriate robust solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong investigation skills and ability to quickly establish problem root cause.
- A willingness to learn new techniques and technologies, both within PCA Test and Module Functional Test
- Knowledge of computer controlled automated functional testing would be desirable, but not essential.
- Good team working ability and interpersonal communications skills are critical.
