MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Test Analyst role ensures that software meets Cornerstone's quality standards, aligns with business requirements, and functions as expected in real-world scenarios while balancing the business needs, risk, and time available.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SCOPE
Work closely with project teams, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and define appropriate test coverage.
Prepare detailed test plans, scripts, and scenarios for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Execute tests across multiple projects and environments, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with third-party suppliers and internal teams to coordinate testing activities and resolve issues.
DELIVERY
Perform manual and automated testing as required, logging defects and tracking them through to resolution.
Validate that all development and change tasks meet quality criteria before deployment.
Provide clear and accurate test reports, highlighting risks, defects, and recommendations for improvement.
Support testing during critical phases, including pre-go-live and post-implementation validation.
Contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security arrangements to meet ISO obligations.
ROLE EXPERTISE
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools within Agile and Waterfall environments.
Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
Skilled in defect management and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with automation frameworks and continuous integration tools is desirable.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with stakeholders.
PERSON SPECIFICATION (EXPERTISE)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIANCE
•Minimum 3+ years' experience in software testing or quality assurance.
•Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting.
•Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
•ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification.
