Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technology and Systems Engineer to provide expert technical leadership across a portfolio of advanced building systems, operational technologies and critical digital infrastructure within the Restoration and Renewal Programme. Working within the Technical Assurance and Design Management (TADM) Engineering team, you will ensure that complex systems are secure, resilient, future-ready and effectively integrated within the uniquely challenging environment of the Palace of Westminster.
This is a rare opportunity to work client-side on a programme of national importance, contributing to the stewardship of an internationally significant heritage estate.

Working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants and stakeholders, you will support system integration and develop and maintain engineering standards and specifications across areas such as ICT and communications, cybersecurity, building management systems (BMS), security and surveillance, and broadcast, audio and acoustic technology.
With strong experience in complex systems integration within the built environment, you will bring a strategic and rigorous approach to technology engineering, alongside the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
You'll bring:
- Experience in complex building or operational technology systems engineering within major project or live operational environments.
- Experience of assuring technical design and construction proposals.
- Strong knowledge of technologies such as ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, building automation systems (BMS/BAS), security systems, and broadcast, audio and acoustic technology.
- Experience operating within highly regulated, security-sensitive, or operationally complex organisations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and diplomatically.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to quality, transparency and effective problem solving.
If you are an experienced technology or systems engineer who thrives in technically complex environments - and who wants to contribute to a programme of lasting national significance - we would welcome your application.
