Do you want to develop new technical skills? Want to work in an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment?
A full time, 37 hours a week, exciting opportunity to join the School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering has arisen. You will form part of our dynamic team supporting and maintaining a variety of workshops from woodworking to mechanical.
Training will be given, enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality service to our staff and students is essential. In this role you will be following a maintenance schedule to ensure our equipment stays in good working order and supporting the Technical Instructors in providing the best student experience.
To be successful in this role you should:
- Have some experience in maintaining machinery
- Have a good understanding of basic Health and Safety principles
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills for a diverse audience
- The role will require manual handling and lifting tasks
Training will be given as required.
This permanent role is full time with annual leave entitlement starting at 5 weeks per year, additional time off over Christmas in addition to bank holidays and generous pension scheme. This role is based in our modern teaching and research facilities on our Moulsecoomb campus.
