A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY:

As a Senior Technical Site Planner, you will be responsible for the technical planning of site activities performed by Siemens Energy Field Service Engineers. This includes determining timescales, identifying required skills, coordinating spare parts, tooling, PPE, and preparing technical plans for each outage. You will also be involved in briefing and debriefing activities.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

TECHNICAL PLANNING:

- Detailed Plans: Provide detailed technical plans and drawings for all Field Service site activities.

- Customer Requirements: Liaise with the Product Team Leader and Market Support to establish customer requirements and assess the need for site attendance and/or parts/tooling.

- Skills Identification: Identify the skills required to carry out the full work scope of all Field Service outages, including LTP, ad-hoc service, and Retrofit customers, and possibly I&C where required.

- SAP Utilization: Use SAP as the primary tool for internal communications to ensure traceability and auditability on outages.

- Conflict Resolution: Highlight any planning conflicts such as parts and resource availability.

- Technical Advice: Provide technical planning advice and support to Product Resource Specialists to ensure the most suitable Field Engineer is allocated to the outage.

- Documentation: Compile all documentation required for the technical aspect of a pre-mobilization brief and carry out the brief and debrief with the Lead Field Service Engineer on the outage.

- Bid Support: Provide technical support to Market Support in the bid process to help secure new business for Siemens ESSO.

- Plan Review: Periodically review plans versus actual with market support to identify areas of non-conformance cost and ways to avoid/improve them.

- Continuous Improvement: Support the Product Outage Planning & Spares Engineering Manager in applying a continual improvement philosophy within the business.

- Compliance: Ensure all Siemens processes and compliance requirements are implemented and strictly adhered to.

- Safety and Security: Be aware of the organization's safety and security procedures, ensuring they are adhered to at all times.

- Forecast Reports: Deliver monthly Product forecast requirements reports for personnel/tooling where requested.

WHAT YOU BRING:

EXPERIENCE:

- Engineering Discipline: HNC or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline.

- Project Planning Tools: In-depth knowledge of Primavera Project Planning Tool, SAP, and Microsoft Project.

- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Siemens SGT, MGT, Compressor, and/or Steam Turbine packages and driven units

SKILLS:

- Commercial Planning: Problem-solving and creative thinking with a focus on quality and efficiency.

- People Management: Experience in managing internal customers, suppliers, managers, and colleagues. Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to work as a team member.
