Senior Technical Consultant, Water Scientist
Role Context:
We are seeking for an energetic individual with strong technical capabilities in developing, managing, and executing groundwater data science projects, and proven leadership and communication skills. Technical knowledge and communications skills are key aspects of this position. Individuals should be team-focused, with demonstrated experience in successfully working with a group of environmental and water professionals in a team environment.
You'll be:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, environmental professionals, data scientists, and developers.
- Subject matter expert for various aspects of water science.
- Present technical information internally and externally as needed in writing and verbally in a concise and professional manner.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
- Learn new tools and techniques to enhance your skills as a Senior Technical Consultant, Water Scientist.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate staff.
- Provide senior technical support for a variety of projects including, but not limited to geospatial data analysis and visualization, water quality and quantity monitoring, water sustainability, permitting and environmental assessments, and quantitative modelling.
You'll have:
- Significant years of applied experience.
- Solid understanding of water science, data analysis, visualization, and data storage systems.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving needs.
- Ability to rapidly troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
